Walking early in the day
I asked the Fairy to pave the way
Desire to walk the one mile trip
Including steep hill to the Veterans hospital

There I walked slowly with cane
Two weeks old the new hip no pain
Felt the hill giving some concern
Yet once on top all was forgiven

Walked for two more hours inside
Visiting floors the staff well known
No rest needed and still no pain
Walked for two hours and fifty minutes then

As the rain began to fall
I did not think wise to walk
Eat some food and rest a spell
Before I walked the floors once more

To walk down the steep hill all wet
Did not think was the best
So soon arrived the shift I work
Showing picture of my new hip of course

Now a ride from one whose shift did close
Fairy did make the day unfold
Showing many friends my new hip in picture
While walking without limp and no pain to falter

Exactly two weeks since my hip surgery and I walked the one mile to the Veteran's hospital where I work. It is set upon a hill and the rise is steep and not simple to walk. I walked the mile in about one hour than walked the floors and clinics visiting workers and showing my X-ray of the new hip. Rain fell hard and to walk the hill wet I did not think wise but got a ride home as the shift changed. It was a great adventure and still feeling very little pain after the walking. I did feel some pain but nothing like I was feeling for months before. It is remarkable the difference. I am sure the Fairies have sprinkled magic dust upon the replacement in my hip to make it heal so well and quickly. Also I know the many prayers have sent Angels to come to my aide. Fairies or Angels does not matter both are part of the modern day magic.
