A Flashback
A chapter in the book A Life In Your Pocket
Unrequited Love
by Heather Knight
Background This is the story of a baby born to two very different parents, Barb and John. |
Barb was as beautiful as a porcelain doll, but she wasn't a nice woman. This was something her husband never realized.
His devotion for her was the glue that held their marriage together. It had been love at first glance for him, but for many months his feelings hadn't been returned.
When Barb eventually agreed to date him, she did it to escape her home.
'I guess living with you couldn't be any worse than living with my parents,' she told John.
To his ears, those hurtful words were victorious music. He didn't even notice the grimace on her face.
