| Background John and Barb, a young couple, have just had their first baby. |
After hours of nail biting and uncertainty, John was informed of the birth of his daughter by an unsmiling nurse in a starched uniform.
'She's the one in the middle. Quite feisty for a creature so small.'
John looked at the baby adoringly. Her face was as round
as the moon and she didn't have any hair. Just this soft down...
After some minutes, he remembered he had to go to see Barb. He felt guilty because for a while he had forgotten about her completely.
'Where were you?' a whiny voice said as he walked into the gloomy ward.
