Rainbow Bright

by Chrissy710

Rainbow Bright

Today I saw a rainbow bright
Twas arced across the sky.
Colour's spanned against the grey
How pleasing to my eye.

The sun peeped out behind the clouds
To light my morning way.
Gentle rain it pattered down
I wondered, would it stay?.

Umbrella up, I walked along
I kept an even stride.
This path's the one I know so well
To work; I stepped inside.

I smiled and greeted all G'day
I put my bag away.
My nursing role I then assumed
Began, my working day.

My students, with their buddy nurse
I caught up with each one.
They told me what they were to do
Their time and care plans done.

An educator's role is vast
I teach, then skills assess.
I must ensure they understand
Expect their very best.

Although my day's a busy one
The students got it right.
I gave them praise and said "well done"
They were my rainbow bright.

Hi all I am a Nurse Educator/Clinical teacher and my days are busy teaching and mentoring new student nurses in the ward environment. A rewarding job and this is just a reflection of one of my days and I did start with a rainbow and drizzle rain.

Thanks for reading my work
