The dangers of being a police officer
When The Past Comes A-Knocking

I always go for a run in the morning before work. (It's important to keep fit if you are a cop. More so if you are a woman.)
Then, I have a shower and eat a light breakfast.
Yesterday, I was tying my bathrobe when there was a knock at the door.
My gun was lying on the table and I hid it in my pocket before opening. In my line of work, you have to be cautious.
'What the heck are you doing here?' I asked the tall man standing opposite me.
'Surprised? I didn't feel like staying dead...'
