"Jesus will rise again on Easter Day"
As a child I heard the victor say

"He, the Lamb of God died for us
killed by murderers, it's our loss"

To this day I have a mental picture
To honor Him and his scripture

A tender loving shepherd of sheep
Died in a way for believers to weep

Although in my life's journey I stray
I always remember Easter this way

Now Easter is of a different kind
To some a religious eye is blind

The bunny's all about what to get
Eggs, new clothes,or even a pet

Easter egg hunts, prizes galore
Make children clamor for more

Easter means many things new
Including God's creations for you

Gifts are fine, as long as He's first
For praise when into song we burst
