A disembodied hand coming out from under the bed to get me!
Ridiculous I know...
But I've had this fear since I was four,
when I saw a movie that featured that scenario.
One night my brother and sister took a fake rubber hand,
and pushed it out from underneath my bed!
My screaming went on for quite a while.
I can never forget that day, my fear remains.
I can't get it out of my head.
All these years later I still check under the bed...
that's pushed up against the wall,
lined with pillows for defense!
You'd think I'd get over it,
It doesn't make any sense.
I still fear that disembodied hand!
