Barefoot In Short Pants

Barefoot In Short Pants

Going barefoot, wearing short pants.
Stepping in mud, dodging the ants.
Jump in puddles, cleaning my toes.
Splashed so hard water up my nose.
Climbed high in the big apple tree.
Buzz around a mad bumble bee.
Higher I went, faster it flew.
It was berserk, as it turned blue.
I scrambled and went to the top.
Bee so angry, it would not stop.
Ouch, my behind I felt a sting.
Tears and a loud cry I did ring.
With apple, down the trunk I slid.
I ran fast from that bee and hid.
Stepping in mud, dodging the ants.
Going barefoot, wearing short pants.
