Nightmares

Nightmare nightmare calm sleep taker
Taunts me with scary things
Monsters chase me as I try to flee
Miss the train my suitcase breaks open
All the people stare and laugh
A giraffe comes and picks me up
Delivers me to my teaching job
Eighteen students all out of control
I don't have lesson plans ready
Don't know what to do
Then I'm back in my childhood days
Anxious to please anyone I know
I miss the bus while I'm procrastinating
I feel something cool on my sweating brow
The fever now broken I was asleep with
Nightmare nightmare calm sleep taker
