Hope Chest

by victortouche

Don't ever give me limits
Don't try and sell me minutes

Hope is not for youth

The young-
No prisons
No age to ponder
No self-imposed
No paths too long
No turns forbidden

Hope blooms
When age does

Untie restrictions
Drawers to open
Packed and stacked by who

Stored away

I threw it out
Upon the floor

I danced a bit
And kicked some shit

And called a number
I knew before...

Well, you know.
Ever a Rebel.
Who was I to tell me
to stop living?
