Spinning Words

Spinning Words

I made a vow, not to miss a moment,
to live each day contented with my lot.
Focus eyes on every component,
be thankful for the little things I’ve got.

I can be as idle as the flowers,
sleep all day, never need to lift my head.
The time is mine, I can waste my hours.
and read the many words that have been said.

Then I can be suddenly inspired,
a word or deed, a smell, or touch of skin,
My pen full of ink and fully fired,
a whirl of words star falling in a spin.

Born are rhymes of love and life and nature,
where fun with time and meter also feature.
