I was eleven years old the first time the urge made its presence known.

I skinned a lizard alive; then placed it on the hot concrete and enjoyed the show.

I wanted more.

I had received a pump pellet gun for my birthday. I used it to kill the local birds.
I'd remove one wing from each sparrow. I placed it in a jar and hid them behind the air conditioning unit.

When I was fifteen years of age, my mother found the jar.
She was not pleased

Nor was I.

The stranger in my mind had gained control and we toyed with the idea of removing mother's head.
We decided against such a plot, as she proved useful in our development.
