Mountains are for Climbing

"This mountain's high, too high" you say.
You've never climbed that high before.
While standing at its base you sigh
and let your fears begin to soar.

You ask yourself, "What if I fall?"
Anxiety takes hold of you.
Too many challenges persist.
You wish that you could follow through.

But then you spot a trail ahead
that winds its way up to the top
with curves and places that are steep.
It calls to you and begs, "Don't stop!"

So you, while fearful, then begin
to forge ahead; you're upward bound.
With strength and courage you proceed
with each step planted on the ground.

Before too long, you've reached the top,
and now you know you can succeed.
You've met your challenges head on.
You faced your fears and now are freed.
