Free Verse

Seamstress

To Mickey, with love.
Sew a starry blanket,
you seamstress of dreams.
Cover a tired frame
in twinkling warmth
and calm your restless child.

Mend this tattered spirit,
you seamstress of dreams.
Golden needle
and silver thread 
hold her heavy heart.

Stitch visions of hope,
you seamstress of dreams.
Color dreary grey
with crimson expectations
surviving break of day.
