Mother's Song

by sandy montgomery

Quatrain Poetry Contest Winner
Child of my heart
Dear come and rest
Here safe and sound
Upon my breast

You are my breath
My life, my heart
When you were born
True joy did start

In you I find
The best of me
As I hold you
So tenderly

You are sunshine
So bright and fair
With your blue eyes
And sun drenched hair

Life is sweeter
Cause you are here
I love you so
My little dear
