sepia blue

Wrap around porches, cooling pies,
swimming holes and fireflies.
Celebrations, dancing slow,
on your first date.
Bazooka Joe.

First day of school...
then the last.
Forever loves,
that didn't last.

Midnight runs
Snow day prayers.
County fairs
and pinkie swear.

Christmas mornings, New Year's Eve,
The crunch of autumn's fallen leaves.

Dusty roads and evening dips,
champagne giggles with our first sip.

Those good old days spent with you,
treasured forever
in sepia blue.
