Black Lives Matter Be careful when you claim racism, PLEASE!

Eyes On The Cross

by Dawn Munro

Eyes On The Cross

(The problem with jumping to conclusions is
you never know where you might land.
)

A friendly wave, a gentle smile
are part of what makes life worthwhile.
An anguished heart, a loved one missed;
compassion's needed - please enlist.

The recent violence, hatred-spawned,
has been around since time first dawned.
But now in this enlightened age
we're striding backwards to find rage?

Excuses offered make no sense;
they're altogether too intense.
Mistakes are made by one and all,
but bigotry must take the fall?

Not EVERY wrong is racist-based,
and other hurts won't be erased
by naming every single one
as racist holding out the gun.

In fact the truth is, you distract
from situations where it's fact.
So
Black Lives Matter, please hear this -
your aim has truly gone amiss.

Pure panic sometimes plays a role,
and bullies never will cajole
when given just the slightest chance
to make a perpetrator 'dance'.

ALL life is sacred and your 'show'
while justified, might only slow
the wheels of justice and their grind
so you can get some paper signed.

A demonstration only works
when TRUTH'S revealed by COURTHOUSE clerks.
To mire the wheels with mud and muck?
Believe me, we'll be out of luck...

Embellishment is just a lie,
and so the next black man could die
because the bigotry EXISTS,
but won't be trusted from your lists.

Keep the focus on the whole truth, and nothing but! Are some protesters, perhaps, just a little too 'boast and show off', also? What is the agenda?

Don't be hasty, be cautious and investigate thoroughly. I listened to Lavish's live stream over and over and over again...see the notes for Haunted Halls and This Shattered Heart Pleads.

Videos courtesy of YouTube. WARNING!!!! GRAPHIC!!!!

The first example (with others to follow as illustration that injustice does not belong only to blacks) is an 18 year old shot to death in Toronto three years ago. (Cry racism and it's not the case, it casts real racist incidents into doubt.)

This video is of Sammy Yatim - there was no one left on the streetcar with him, he had nowhere to go, and the cop uses foul language at him, angry because (mentally disturbed) Sammy wouldn't obey him, in my opinion. The officer was inciting rather than trying to de-escalate the situation, which was really no threat to anyone anymore...Sammy was 18 years old and a bully shot him dead.
