The Pied Piper Calls

by w.j.debi

Pied Piper's music lures me to the dance.
Hypnotic tunes so tempting on the air,
with notes that leave me in an awestruck trance.
Hark! Realms of magic call. Please, take me there.

Hypnotic tunes so tempting on the air.
Oh, troubadour, you lull me into dreams.
Hark! Realms of magic call. Please, take me there.
The treasure that you promise, how it gleams.

Oh, troubadour, you lull me into dreams.
I'll follow anywhere that you may lead.
The treasure that you promise, how it gleams.
Your music is the only thing I need.

Pied Piper's music lures me to the dance
with notes that leave me in an awestruck trance.

A Pantoum Sonnet is a combined form

Like the sonnet it has 14 lines with three quatrains and a couplet. Generally, it is written in iambic pentameter.

Like a pantoum it has repeated lines:
The 2nd and 4th line of the first stanza become the 1st and 3rd lines of the second stanza. The 2nd and 4th lines of the second stanza become the 1st and 3rd lines of the third stanza. The lines of the closing couplet are the same as the 1st and 3rd lines of the beginning stanza.

Thank you to Angelheart for the use of the artwork "Somewhere in The Galaxy".
Pays one point and 2 member cents.
