The bus door opened at a stop along a beach in Mexico. I saw on the top step children feet covered in sand. They sparkled in the sun. I boarded the bus. As it weaved around a cliff above the ocean, I wrote a series of three linked 5-7-5 to capture the image of sparkling feet.
