A Minute Poem

A chapter in the book Little Poems

New Eagles

by Treischel

White feathered head with yellow beak,
A sight to seek.
In woven wood,
The bird nest stood.

A female sitting on her eggs,
Beneath her legs
Two incubate.
A needed wait.

But under constant sitting spells,
They break their shells.
A finished chore,
New eagles soar.
