Winter's Wasted War

Winter's Wasted War

With welcoming, winsome waif
willful, wicked winter waned within.
We waltzed while whispered wishes
went wafting, windswept- wayward.

While weeping willow weeps, we
wait where wilting wants wear wings.
With whimsical wherewithal we wink.
Weather wantonly wastes with wickedness.

Who wouldn't wonder what we wonder,
when wandering warbling waters wash
wanton woes with warming waves?
Witness! We won winter's wasted war.

Where wanders winter when winter wanes?
We won't waste words!
Why wouldn't we whistle,
when winter whinnies without wind.
