Unwanted Detachment

I have a kaleidoscope
ink blots and insects
swimming around in my right eye
the brain will take care of it
in time
the doctor said
unless I want them
hum
perhaps
entertainment value
no
difficult to concentrate
occasionally I jump
seeing a critter scurry
definitely different
and very annoying

Vitreous Detachment. Scary. It is detached where the eye connects with the brain in the back of the eye. Just a part of getting older. Thank Liilia for the art. This is a lot like what I see except it is all black. Not this much at a time.
