Who knows how your words may change a life...or more?
A chapter in the book From out of the Grayness
To Honor the Writers
by His Grayness
TO HONOR THE WRITERS
Today, tomorrow, or yesterday The question sometimes shocks As I sit here truly mesmerized In a room full of ticking clocks They say everything is relative But with time I sometimes guess As age becomes a reality Days and years become a mess Only memory serves to calibrate Only hope can bring new life Only love will still invigorate The will to stand more strife There may be missions out there That God still has in mind To bring some hope to someone else And leave some gifts behind To speak, to write, to celebrate Important lessons from our days Might just become the answer To a prayer someone desperate prays So the honor of the writer's mind May not always find celebration But the gift it's given to someone else Might become new hope's invitation So here's to you all writers young and old No matter if poetry, lyrics, or prose Your thoughts and writings will outlive you And even may change where another soul goes |
The energy of your thought may change the world
