ABC Super Hero

by w.j.debi

Action heroes rule the day.
Beware bad guys, go away.
Criminals, you'd better run.
Deeds of doom are all undone.
Evil will be thwarted still
For heroes have a role to fill.

Goodness always wins at last.
Heroes speed so super fast.
Into the fray, they charge right in
Jumping, flying, got to win.

Kids, let's pretend to be like them,
Lapsing into heroes when
Monsters threaten to destroy,
Nasty creatures crush with joy,
Or evil's newest stranger
Puts innocents in danger.

Quick reactions save the day.
Rescuers are on the way.
Super powers always show
True heroes what they need to know.

Ultimately, good guys are first.
Villains, you can do your worst.
When famous heroes say, "You go!"--
X-men, Avengers, G.I. Joe--
You'll disappear without a trace
Zapped to dust in outer space.
