The face that always loves you By: His Grayness

When sorry rains its endless tears
And sails your soul to seas of fears
When darkness bids your spirit come
To march behind the devil’s drum

When sleep won’t flush your spirits drain
And morning only brings more pain
The mirror waits to start your day
To tell you what your heart should say

The image there not less than true
Reflects who God is talking to
“I made you in My image own
And promised you’d not be alone”

“I’m here as always I shall be
To share my gifts of life with thee
I willed your mind and soul to choose
And that’s a task you can’t excuse”

“I created light to present My reflection
To chase the dark for your protection
So join me now in gratitude
That you may choose your attitude”

“Love’s the single path to happiness
While fear and sorrow only bring distress
Look again in your mirror and see my face
And know I planned to meet in this place”

“And our meeting would come at this very time
When you needed to know that you will be fine
So keep a small mirror wherever you go
And know the face that always loves you will show”
