A story poem, does not have to rhyme.
Ambulance
by robina1978
A few days ago
I left the house to go walk the dog. I saw two police at the end of our corridor. I knew immediately, what they were doing: one neighbour at the end got transported to a closed nursing home ward. The next day I visited his wife to check if she needed a shoulder to cry on. But she did not, was relieved he was gone. He already was slightly demented but after hearing, that her lung cancer returned, he got far worse and very aggressive. A sad occasion afer they were together for twelve years. Now she has herself to cope with. |
