In shadows lost
Uncuffed legs, thick with mud
She held the key ~ she washed my feet
I'm home.




Adelaide Crapsey invented this form. It now requires a certain amount of syllables per line with the option of using iambic feet (typical though) with unstressed followed by stressed...

Line one has two syllables.
Line two has four syllables.
Line three has six syllables.
Line four has eight syllables.
Line five has two syllables.
