Weekend Dream

Weekend Dream: by: His Grayness

He's coming over tonight and we're going out
We're doing the whole town and we're gonna shout
Hey people we're not standing round
We plan on really getting down
Cause life is just a runaway train
A trip on a jet airplane

Weekend's begun at last and we're gonna have a blast
We're gonna jam forty eight hours into a seven day plan
Thinking all week about the workaday freak
We call the boss and other names we cannot speak
Let all the cleaning wait, we're gonna celebrate
The fact we made it through another week

Nobody's gonna mind if we get a bit behind
For we have the time to spare and we're gonna go somewhere
How about some tennis or just a trip to the zoo
We'll fly to Lake Tahoe or old Las Vegas will do
Who cares how much it costs when we plan on getting lost
We've got to make our weekend dream come true: OOPS!!

Wake up John, mow the lawn, we slept in
The day's half gone
What a dream I had last night:
I was out swinging with the celebrity set
We went to Las Vegas and I cleaned up at roulette

Now I wake and see I'm back to our reality
Darn I've got to cook and clean
A thought worse than it's ever been
You should have seen me in my diamonds and furs
Did you know a Jaguar at one-twenty just purrs

When are we gonna get rich
I have an insatiable itch...
an image that I need to keep
Move over John I'm going back to sleep

Sometimes that dream is just too good to let go!
