What is the cruelty of life?
Those obstacles placed in our way
or the battle with this constant strife.
Do you make time to pray?

Your faith must not become weak
in yourself or in your God.
Show your strength, do not become meek
this can cause a long desolute path to plod.

Satan's demons will constantly haunt and taunt you.
They can sense when your spirit is down.
Your love and strength in God will get you through
to keep you from becoming a jewel in Satan's crown.

Try not to let your entire being become confined.
The treatments and pain that you face can make you numb.
Remember, your faith, power of prayer and strength of mind
in the face of Satan's evil will not let you succumb.

I am waging a war and constant battle of my own.
What I am trying to say in the words of this poem
is, I never wonder why, nor will you ever hear me moan and groan,
because I know that someday my God will call me home.

I laugh, smile and there are times that I sing off key
because, I live each and everyday without the fear of death.
There is so much life to live fully, happily and completely
to worry yourself into taking your last breath.

I promise to pray to God to help calm your fears
and when He calls you home, there will be no tears.
