Sky-die-caught-ahhh-me!!! By: His Grayness

She threw down the gauntlet- the challenge of thought.
A ripper of a considerator ...this poet's been caught!
What if, what if, we often contemplate?
Can we turn into the blind word storm and still navigate?
What we've seen forever we expect tomorrow will bring
But what if a war of Mother Nature changed everything?

She put forth the question about night and day
And suggested they might sometime refuse to play
Then what if that happened how might it all go down?
Would the sky go all black, or all white, or just brown?

So now we approach the question of power
As dark as the devil brings the nights bewitching hour
Light is asleep resting for tomorrow's majestic work
Dark is planning to take over sending the world berserk

When the moon referees the changing of the guard
And instructs the dark night to get out of his yard
So the daylight may come refreshing life everywhere
Dark says I'm stronger than light and staying right here

Then light makes its move to brighten the day
But the dirty dark night still won't go away
The moon blows its whistle to call a time out
Light still waits with hope for the weak moon's clout

But night won't move and now evil's at play
To ravage the earth while light's held at bay
Now people are lost and can't find their way home
All nature is smothered under darkness's dome

All circuits are busy and power's gone dead
Nobody knows to get up or just stay in bed
The taverns are bustling but run out of beer
Crime is exploding and the whole worlds in fear

The moon called in angels that came in a flock
They put out such light that the dark went into shock
It flew fast for cover in the deep space universe
While light's song of gratitude smothered the dark's curse
Scientists marveled greatly at this amazing event
And to this day are pondering where the darkness went
An angel went to visit them and here is what it taught
Light simply "IS" and Darkness simply is "NOT"
Author's note: Darkness is an absence....of Light so without the concept of light, darkness would not exist!
What's really cool is when they work together and create the balance of "GRAYNESS"
