There was an entity
Call it what you will
That first turned on the light
Of life in you and me
That had the majesty of purpose
That perhaps is still not clear to
Each within their spiritual focus
But would it not seem so simple to grant
Supreme will, authority and gratitude to
This unnamed entity for this mission
Perhaps unknown but committed to you
The journey of life, needs a loving compass
Take peace in all the checkpoints it gives us
Live and learn where and what they point to
For that everlasting light is the living God in You
