Soul Drops: By His Grayness
Damn gray sky Spitting gloomy slobber of Cloud pee right in my eye And then all over - who the hell is me Oh yeah me! That half rusted Fire hydrant of meaningless humanity Soaking it up in this old gray scribbled hair Too dirty to help and too old to care Who made this rain and what's the real reason And I don't believe a minute it's about some season Maybe something really big is getting past me I think I'll grab some shelter under that big oak tree What's this old metal plate screwed into the bark? It reads: "The Tree of Knowledge" glowing in the dark! Ok Mr. Smart tree so full of great wisdom and charity Why not tell me simply...what's the matter with me? A voice began whispering quite soft in my ear Strange though it shocked me it brought me no fear That rain is to cleanse many aspects of living You'd be a fool to ignore the many blessings it's giving Notice first the tiny lights that are held there inside They're the souls of many life forms that rose when they died They've come back to nourish other life left behind They're gratitude's contrast to the victim's dark mind They're lifeblood for all we know that's alive Without their sweet gifts you'd not long survive Rather than pity yourself with a poor victim's attitude Drink these precious soul drops with the deepest of gratitude! Try to embrace every gift of each season And know for your own soul that God has a reason!! |
Even in the rain..Gratitude is worthy of deep; and constant consideration!!
