Lord,
I am so humbled
to live in a country
which allows me to worship You
this morning
here
in this sanctuary
filled with Your people
 
Your people, Lord,
who make up the church –
not this building
in which we worship
for we could sow and spread
Your word
most anywhere
 
You charge us
to be Your hands,
Your feet, Your voice
for those who need You –
to feed the hungry
clothe the naked
house the homeless
love the unloveable
share Your word
to souls starving for hope 
 
Lord,
let us never leave this place
the same as we arrived –
rather, open our hearts
to be more like You
to go out
and light this dreary world
so others desire
what we have
and are led to You
by our example
