Missed the contest deadline
A Touch of Magic

There is no place in the world so lonely as an elevator. She clutched her briefcase and sighed.
The elevator halted to welcome a stranger to its tiny domain. He wore jeans and a polo. Clean-cut, respectable-looking.
He met her gaze and stepped toward her. With confidence, stretched his hand to her cheek, and kissed her. Gentle. Simple.
He pressed his smile into her tired lips and breathed a touch of magic on her face.
She shivered in that moment of the stranger's kiss.
The elevator stopped. The doors opened. "Happy birthday from your office." He disappeared into the crowd.
