A Halloween story
BooBoo Goes Cuckoo
by mermaids
my lovely self is
defiled by this awful haircut so here I sit on Halloween not my holiday I was born on Christmas a time of singing not a time for screaming this funky night full of sweets and ghouls makes me want to go postal so off I scamper chasing the little witches as they fly into the night sky away from the hairless feline the werewolf takes one look at me and hides behind Duchess the family poodle he quakes with fear at my new do I stick my tongue out he wimpers and howls for his mother the skeletons dance out of the graveyard but seeing a hairless kitty they fall onto each other creating a pile of bones I am beside myself looking this way I growl and hiss at the Halloween characters they run in fear my mistress calls me BooBoo! Stop picking on the ghosts and ghouls! But I am too busy chasing a jack-o-lantern around our yard finally, calm and collected I rub against my favorite scratching post covered in catnip over I collapse leaving Halloween to go on in peace as the skeletons collect themselves and run into the night. |
