A dream I had involving The Doors lead singer

In My Dream

by Justin Chopin

In my Dream

In my dream,
I met the Lizard King.
And he gave me,
A dark red ring

Telling me:
"With this sacred jewel,
you will be able to sing
about love, murder, and misery
in a voice that is deeper
than the one given to me."

He told me all of this,
At the Whisky a Go-Go.
I tried to ask him if there was
Something else I should know.

But he never responded.
To my questions of great demand.
In fact all he did,
Was stretch out his arms and hands.
Which made his body disappear,
Into a desert filled with waves of sand.

I began to panic.
The room was filled with reptiles.
Snakes, Komodo Dragons, had taken their seats,
To watch me sing.
Going up to the microphone,
I felt something burning me.

With a sadistic sting,
I turned around and realized,
That it was the ring,
Which must've poisoned me,
The ring of the Lizard King.

The ring in its fury,
Started glowing, a deep shade of red.
And suddenly I noticed
Monsoons of blood
Pouring from my head.

My skin turned pale.
The repugnant reptiles
Feasting on me
Until I was dead.

Until there was nothing
Left of me
But that sadistic
Piece of jewelry.

The Lizard King was Jim Morrisons nickname for himself. In my poem Morrison gives me his powerful baritone voice and also gives me his ring. The ring that Morrison has given me is poisionous and ends up making my skin go white at the end of the story a group of reptiles come to eat my body until their is nothing left of me but the ring. By the way the Whiskey a go go was the club where The Doors played at before they got popular.
