The Bird on Mary's Hands
by Dove On a sunny, breezy day in the Grotto I beheld a little bird That had come in to land And perched on Mary's hands. It chirped and sang up to her, It remained for a few moments, Then again it took to the air. To Her, it was carrying my pray'r. A little sparrow that landed on the hands of a statue of the Blessed Virgin inspired this poem.
