A chapter in the book Emotions of Love and Life
Wishes
by Angel Debbie
Wishes
As a child explores the outer world, Have you ever seen a wish twirl? A dandelion in its final days... The puffy ball of seeds sets a child to a daze. "Why does it do that, Mom," says the little voice next to me. You make a wish then you blow it, and wait and see... If your wish comes true... "Mom, are you going to wish too?" Sure, let's wish together; pick the biggest one for your wish. Afterward we'll get some candy from Mom's favorite dish. Blow hard and watch the little pieces of your wish blow away... And just maybe that wish will come true someday. "Mom, can I whisper to you my wish?" Sure, my little Trish "Mom, I wished for God to bring Daddy back home." Honey child, God can't bring Daddy back, let's get the phone... Call Grandpa and Grandma, maybe they will want a wish. Here, as I promised, a candy from Mom's dish. You're so sweet my little girl. You give Mom's heart such a whirl. My wish was to never stop loving you, And to never loose your love too! |
This little girl lost her dad to a drunk driver and misses him.
