A chapter in the book Emotions of Love and Life

Moving Day

by Angel Debbie

A new beginning coming soon
Won't happen until Sunday noon.

The sun will shine and snow no more
Only to be ready for your next chore

Moving out on your own
It's not as easy as getting a loan

Moving box after box
You'd think you're an ox

Upstairs down stairs
Moving all your wares

Piling things here, piling things there
Pretty soon you'll start pulling hair

No! here, No! there, this first then that
Look out! Or I'm going to get you with my bat

Helper's don't listen to what you say
You're going to have a headache till next May

Moving continues slow and easy
It's nice outside, all sunny and breezy

Two hours later you finish up
But, you want to wash, this one last cup

Alas you're through!
You all sit down and have a brew

With all the exhaustion that you've had
All things went well even know you got mad

Thank you all
I'll give you a call

For we'll get together for a "Thank you" party
And I'll feed all of you very hearty!

Hired inexperienced friends when moving had many problems. But still was happy that I got moved and had them all over for a cookout dispite everything that went wrong that day. As a thank you as I couldn't have done it alone!
