Dinner with the peacocks.
A Turkey for Thanksgiving
by mermaids
A turkey, wild and free,
dines with the peacocks, a family of colorful birds, fish, crab and popcorn on the menu. Marvin gobbles the food, giving thanks he dwells in the woods. Halfway through the meal, a food fight breaks out, Marvin ducks as popcorn lands in his beer. Every year the peacocks invite the wild turkey, to dine on Thanksgiving, and every year they end up arguing. Marvin is grateful for the invite, he gobbles with the flow of words and food. The peacocks calm down, Marvin offers his blueberry pie, wild berries from a wild bird, the peacocks consume the dessert with great enthusiasm. Marvin waddles away, thanks his boisterous friends, returns to the woods, until next year, birds of a different feather, the wild turkey and loud peacocks share a meal together. |

Just being silly here, not rhyme or reason to this poem. I thought I would try a humerous poem about Thanksgiving.
