Memories can fade away

by PUPA

I am searching my heart for memories

That once were real and to my heart dear

Where have they gone, can’t find them

Those precious moments I revere

I always hoped that when I got older

They would be the ones that last

I depended on them for later years

To fill my today as they did in the past

I’ll squeeze mind and heart to find them

Until I perceive memories, see them clear

Then I’ll paint them in fine words to keep

Or else like soap flakes they might disappear

Recognized

I spent last night with two school friends and suddenly realized they both remembered so much and I did not. I thought maybe if I write down whatever I still can remember, I might not lose too much memories, they are too precious.
