Short Romantic Poem

Thoughts of Love

I spoke to you 
one quiet night
as I felt your love 
surround me tight.

 I made each word 
flow in rhyme
as our two hearts 
slowly beat in time.

You whispered gently 
into my ear...
"I feel so at rest 
when you are near.

 This calm and peace 
holds me tender
as my body now, 
to you surrenders.

Come fill me up 
with all I need
allow my spirit, 
to be set free.

 Let it soar 
to heights unknown
as you give your love 
to me alone."
