A War of Sand
by Pili Pubul
I still feel
your burning breath begging me to surrender, directing our passion, hypnotized by the touch of those strong manly hands over my skin, both becoming alive under shadows of silver nights under olive trees. Now I scream your name to an earth that won't answer, all voices of reason are silent. A war of sand took you far away to fill ditches of devastation and death. My arms, my soul forever empty, shared dreams we yearn together, died with you my love, far away in a war of sand. |
