Saying goodbye.

Farewell my love to thee

I never thought I'd lose her this way,
In these things, we have no say.
An Angel came and took her one day,
My darling love has gone away.
 
She has a space next to where I'll be,
Together again for eternity.
I know she waits in Heaven for me,
For now, farewell my love to thee.
 
We'll soon be together again,
It won't be long but I don't know when.
She waits for me to take her hand,
But time is not at my command.
