Superpower

The Shield Of Innocence

by Carlos' girl

She had innocence
Like a superpower
Enemies would stop
They could not devour
 
She used innocence
Like a sort of shield
It was her defense
Armour she would wield
 
She was always mindful
Never unaware
She could sense the danger
Lurking in the air
 
Quietly she'd foil them
She would not retreat 
She was unassuming
Innocent and sweet
 
But behind this sweetness 
Her strength was belied
They could not defeat her
Though they often tried
