Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
Twenty-seventh year together

Twenty-seven

by GWHARGIS

If there is ever an end to us
I don't want to know.
I want to leave here holding your hand
Dreaming of you close

Tomorrow is never promised
But hope for another day continues
A silly joke shared
A game of scrabble
I don't even care that you always win.

Our years have flown by
It's time to slow things down
Lots of sacrifices made
To build a home
Sacrifices to keep it.

Celebrating like ships that pass in the night
A date is just a number on a calendar
We celebrate every day
Me and you

You and me.

May 17th, 1997. Married my best friend. No regrets. Still get butterflies. Still beats me in scrabble.
