Beneath the Cercis Siliquastrum

The owl ask the tree,
"Was there purpose you see?"

"Because of his flaws...
betrayal's the cause."

"But to such extent
where death's the intent?"

"He'd given up hope,
then tied taut the rope."

'Neath branches and wings
Judas there swings.

Writing Prompt
Write a 10-line rhyming poem involving a talking tree and a curious owl. The rhyme scheme will be AABBCCDDEE.



The tree was called the Cercis siliquastrum, now known as the Judas Tree. It's said that it had white blooms before this but turned blood red after and ever since.
