No Knocks On The Box, Please

by Reese Turner

I pen this poem of one-hundred words
To make a toast, too seldom heard:
I celebrate what arrogance knocks:
Those tasty fine wines from a box.

“Au Contraire!” others shout so loud,
‘’Box wine, so unfit’’ for their lofty crowd.
But, box wine is fine, that’s what I say,
Sassy, non-obtrusive, and less to pay!

Plus, box wines are easy open: no tools!
They who wrestle bottles, poor fools.
My time, searching openers, not wasted, -
Whilst others search, my wine’s tasted!

Whether Sauvignon Blanc, my fave white,
Or, call me a “Cab”, bold red, any night!
Whether complimenting a cuisine fine,
Or, soothing pain, or for fun, Box Wine!

There are they who find their budgets bent
Surely will understand just what I meant
By my poem of box wine inclusion,
To party hearty with less cash infusion.
