A minute poem about unrequited love

Shattered

by Miranda Langston

Bathed in cruel reminiscence,
so bittersweet,
she thinks of him;
"eternal" love.
 
Love unrequited. Broken heart.
Delicious pain
bleeding out through
her salty tears.
 
Her soul bruised, beaten, and battered.
Professing his
love for others...
her heart shattered.
