Atheist

Sadly, I am an Atheist as my earthly Father was. I say ''sadly" because it eliminates the hope of seeing my beloved husband and parents again.
 
In Buenos Aires, I went to a British school, the same one Mum had attended.
 
Mornings we gathered in the Hall, and intoned "Our Father---" As a Jewish child, I lowered my eyes. When I was eight years old, I became fascinated with Catholicism. I was entraced
 
by the colours, the pageantry, and mysticism.
 
My mother cried, but my astute father said, "Ruth, she'll get over it."
 
And I did. How is another story.

A Milestone Post


I was challenged by writing a 100 word story. Most of my stories are two to three thousand words or more. Some of them have been published online or in small magazines, and I have won two contests.
My greatest desire is to publish a book of short stories by many of various nationalities. Some are well-known, and some not. I deliberately titled it "Immigrants and Other Aliens." I despise the word "alien" because no human being is an alien. I am trying to find a publisher or an agent. I have a novel waiting in the wings,
